Jody L. Swanson, CPA is the managing shareholder of Swanson Hinsch & Co. Chartered. In 2001, she was recognized as a "Super CPA"' by Minnesota Law & Politics and Twin Cities Business Monthly magazines. Since 1985, Jody has been helping business and individual clients with income taxes, accounting, business management and litigation support.
Jody's community service has included serving as the president of the Mankato Area Chamber of Commerce, treasurer of the Southern Minnesota Advocates, treasurer of Greater Mankato Economic Development Corp and board member of Mankato Area Foundation. She has published articles in the southern Minnesota area.
Jody has taught the popular CPA educational class, "Innovative Tax Planning for Small Businesses -- Corporation, Partnership, and LLCs" for the Minnesota Society of CPAs in Bloomington and Rochester, MN. She is a guest faculty member for the Mankato YWCA - BPW Elizabeth Kearney Women's Leadership Development Program. She is also a member of the Mankato YWCA. Other groups spoken to recently include Caring & Sharing Child Care Assoc., Southern Minnesota Women Lawyers, Women Executives in Business, Greater Mankato Area Chamber of Commerce and Senior Provider's Network.
Her professional activities include memberships with American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Minnesota Society of CPA's.
In 2007, the Minnesota Society of CPA's presented Jody Swanson with the "New Discussion Leader Award 2005-2006". Jody earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 1985. Jody graduated with honors and received various awards including The Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award.
Jody and her husband Kevin are the proud parents of two grown sons, Matthew and Andrew.
